During the first week of Chinese New Year, we performed in Spain, France, Tennessee, Colorado and Wyoming. Although busy traveling and performing, we made sure to create some Chinese New Year celebration vlogs in order to share the holiday spirit with you!

Since ancient times, the Chinese zodiac sign of the Tiger has been regarded as a symbol of courage and strength. Chinese folk handicrafts such as tiger hats and shoes have always been popular with children, with the intention of warding off evil and bringing good luck. Here, our dancers dressed up as tigers to wish you a happy and prosperous Year of the Tiger!
How could a person visit Salzburg, the birth city of Mozart, and not be at least a little musically inspired? After finishing a performance at Salzburg’s Großes Festspielhaus, our dancers took the opportunity to relax and...play some music!
Of course, during Chinese New Year, eating dumplings between performances is a must. When it’s freezing outside, sit down and enjoy a bowl of hot dumplings!
During this holiday period, our top priority is to give you the best performance possible. When the theater is close to the hotel, we usually walk there to save time and enjoy the fresh morning air.
The Chinese character 福 (fu) means good fortune and blessing. And hanging it on the door during the Chinese New Year helps to invite good fortune into one’s home. While writing 福 using traditional Chinese calligraphy, this dancer also discovered the connection between calligraphy and dance. As the saying goes, “The Chi of calligraphy must be aligned with the Tao of the Universe.” Whether it be in dance or calligraphy, only when one purifies one’s mind and acts in harmony with the Way of Heaven, can one present art in its fullest beauty and glory.
